1904 Barber Dime

1904 Barber dimes are among the lesser common of the 20th-century Barber dimes. Though that is a relative concept, as “only” a bit more than 15 million were made that year. Still, that number is small as compared to the typical 20 to 30 million-range mintages that were more common for Barber dimes during the 20th century. One factor running against a higher mintage for the 1904 Barber dime is the fact that only the Philadelphia and San Francisco mints produced dimes that year; the New Orleans mint did not strike any that year, and the Denver mint would not even begin striking dimes until 1906.
